Nottingham Anaesthesia Consultancy (NAC) is a group of specialist anaesthetists who all work as NHS consultants in the two major teaching hospitals in Nottingham. We provide private anaesthesia services in conjunction with our surgical colleagues at the Nottingham Woodthorpe Hospital and BMI Park Hospital and occasionally at other sites.
We are not a group practice, with each consultant working independently, but we co-operate to provide anaesthesia for all the surgical specialties offered in Nottingham, 24 hours a day and all year round. We work closely with our local surgeons and aim to plan surgery and anaesthesia together to provide the best care possible.
NAC is the administrative cornerstone to the consultants practice providing a central point of contact for surgeons (to arrange anaesthetic cover) and for patients who need information or to answer billing queries.
